Collection: Jodie Smith

Jodie is an Illustrator and Pattern Designer based in East Yorkshire. She has worked in the design industry for over seven years, since graduating from Leeds Arts University with a BA (hons) in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design in 2017.

Since then she has worked with various greeting card companies including Clinton’s and International Cards and Gifts. She also had her own greetings and stationery business ‘Dolly Pepper Studio’ but pivoted back to freelance designing after the birth of her daughter in 2021. Jodie enjoys seeing her work across a range of different products, and has designed prints and patterns for various independent children’s clothing companies too. Her latest work has been with Sweet Cherry Publishing as a debut Author and Illustrator with her first children’s picture book released in various major retailers in the UK and Internationally back in October 2023.

Jodie's work is fun, colourful and playful and she loves designing cute, quirky characters and motifs, that do tend to lend themselves well to children’s products a lot of the time, but she feels her style can cross over to suit older client bases too.
