Charlotte Hardy is a painter and illustrator working at Clockwork Studios in South London.

Charlotte’s work is a joyful celebration of floral decoration. Her love of playful pattern can be seen in the loosely expressive, but closely observed ceramics and flower displays. There is a feeling of abundance and yet a pared down aesthetic. Charlotte’s background in textile design is evident in her compositions which have a sense of ornamental flatness, refining the shapes into a subtle pattern. The work has a whimsical quality to it and a delightful richness.

Charlotte Studied at Winchester School of Art before graduating with a first-class honours in Textile Design from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1999. She has since worked as an artist and on editorial content and book covers. Her work has been exhibited nationally and printed as stationary internationally. Clients include Paperchase, John Lewis, Waitrose, Anthropologie, Marks and Spencer and Penguin.
